Re: Fridge started to make a humming Unplugged it,let it...
What sort of "humming" noise? Refrigeration systems rely upon vapor compression to operate -- meaning occasionally to maintain temp a compressor will kick in which can hum.
Hi Dede , I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
So is there a problem now?
It stopped me at 200 characters! Right now I only had a few things in it along was a Ramenkin of water. When I saw that the ice was turning to water, I moved all of my food to another. It is making a humming noise, cold air is coming from the bottom, But I shook it and it worked. Did I knock a wire off or dust? It is not cooling.
It worked fine for 2 weeks after I shook the **** out of it. And then the ice started to melt and I moved what little was in both sides to another fridge. It makes a short humming noise for 20-30 seconds then stops and you can hear the fan.
It makes the humming noise for about 15-20 seconds when first plugged in and after about 10-12 minutes. It is a monotone sound in the key of G. It doesn't variate at all- just like humming the note G.
