Most tablets have an internal "bin" for programs, pictures, and such. When you add an SD card, that's still external, and you can fill up the internal without touching the external card. You can use the file manager to clean up the internal storage.

some cameras have a built in memory as well, could be it is selected instead of the sd card. or your sd card is the wrong type.

First, make sure you have it on CARD (and not DISK), and on the "playback" (and not record) mode. Next, does the camera play back other video clips normally, but just not a specific clip ?
Does the selected video clip frame (index) shown on the LCD screen have a picture ? If not, i.e. it is blank (dark), then it is likely that no video was recorded (i.e. just the audio) when you were shooting that video clip.
If there is a picture (of the video clip frame index on the LCD screen) and only audio is playing, try downloading the clip (from the SD card) to your computer, or simply try to play the video on the SD card (inserted directly into your SD card reader on your computer, or via a USB SD card reader) and see if the video clip will play normally on your computer.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

The sd card is only for static pictures.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. But you didn't mention the make or model of your camera. This is important as if it's an older Canon or Sony, it might be fixed for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. some cameras have the choice to take the picture by looking through the veiwfinder or on the LCD screen. check in the menu and set it to LCD if you want to use the LCD

Sounds like a cracked LCD screen. You may be able to fix it if you can find a replacement screen. I usually search ebay for a broken camera with other problems that I can cannibalize. Here's some examples on LCD replacement, including one for your camera. Don't recommend that you try this yourself, unless you have some experience and are comfortable with electronics.
