Check which box you ticked for the preferred method for despatch
if you ticked fedx for $40.00 then that is how the seller has to send it
if they send it express for extra money then that is at their cost
call a lawyer to check and go through them

How to leave feedback the RIGHT way

So you finally gave in and bought something on ebay? WAY TO GO! Welcome to the world of endless deals and bargains!
Are you happy with your purchase? Answer: YES! I love it! Awesome, now lets let the seller know. The easiest way to leave feedback is to simply go back to the page of the actual item. Either type in the item number and click search OR go to MY EBAY and look under "All Buying" under "Won" and click on the item. Once you get to the page, look towards the top, it'll say LEAVE FEEDBACK, simply click on that and Voi'La you are ready to leave feedback. Since you are happy with your purchase, rate POSITIVE and write you comments in, such as: "Fast shipping, very happy with purchase." or "Great product, excellent communication!" We are not done yet, Ebay has integrated a STAR system to rate sellers. You can rate 1-5 stars on "Item as described", "Communication", "Shipping Time" and "Shipping & Handling Charges". Here is a tip about shipping and handling charges. Sometimes you may not be happy with those charges, KEEP ON MIND: Whatever you bought could have been shipped from the opposite side of the country (or even from another country), so OF COURSE they may be higher than having it sent from 1 end of a state to the other hand!! Those actual shipping charges are out of sellers hands. All set with your rating? Simply leave feedback and DONE! Easy, fast and simple. Now......a STRONG REMINDER. I often browse through ebay guides and reviews and TOO MANY buyers mistaken this area for contacting the sellers. This REVIEW and GUIDE area has NOTHING TO DO with leaving feedback or communicating with sellers!!!!! Follow the above steps to properly leave feedback. What if you are not happy? Follow the above steps to get to your items page and click on (right side of page) CONTACT seller and email them. Whether it is a breakage or the item has not arrived yet. Give the seller some time to resolve the issue and to respond back before leaving neutral or negative feedback. I am a seller myself, as well as buyer. I ONLY result in leaving neutral or negative feedback if: A: I have a non-paying bidder (new ebay rules NO LONGER permit sellers leaving negative feedback to non-paying bidders, so sellers really have no way of warning others anymore) B: I bought something, it arrived broken or did not arrive at all, and the seller NEVER responded to NUMEROUS emails over a 2 week period, plenty of time to respond and rectify. C: The seller told me basically something like "oh well, not my problem". IF the seller responds and rectifies the mishap by either refunding money or sending out a duplicate item, there is NO reason for me to leave a bad feedback since the seller took care of me in a satisfactory manner. Personally leaving a neutral feedback would be perhaps if the item I bought took a very long time to arrive (remember overseas purchases do take longer to arrive). If I bought something, lets say from a seller in California and I paid for Parcel Post. That takes 2-9 BUSINESS days. If I am sitting here a month later and the item finally arrives, thats a tad extra long in waiting time. If the seller does not communicate any delay in shipping, that calls for a neutral. WHY NOT LEAVE A NEGATIVE, you ask??? You received the item, riiiight? :o) That is why I would leave a neutral and not a negative. This takes me to another point, bare with me: CHECK THE SELLERS FEEDBACK!!!! (Simply click on the number next to the sellers name) Look at their feedback score, the percentage!!!! If a seller has numerous neutral or negative feebacks in the last 30 days...STAY AWAY!!! Read their feedback and why people left bad feedback. If a seller has less than 100% positive feedback, check why and how long ago they received a negative feedback, it could have been over a new ebayer not knowing how to properly leave feedback even, one of the reason I am writing this here. Unfortunately only about 4 out of every 10 buyers leave feedback nowadays, so do not be upset if a seller only leaves feedback once they have received feedback from a buyer. It is a common just-practice.
10/2013 Please note: Ebay's push to offer free shipping on all items and charging an extra fee to sellers if they charge shipping has made the ebay market somewhat unstable and less fun for us sellers. I understand that big companies can offer free shipping on many items and sellers offer it a lot on lightweight items. Please do not expect and let it out on the seller via leaving neutral or negative feedback, if a seller charges shipping on dishes that weigh 5# and sell for only $10. Private part time sellers are here to make some money too, so paying for the item and eating all the quadruple ebay/ paypal fees and shipping the item out for free is just simply unreasonable.
If you don't receive an item you paid for, you can receive a refund of the full purchase price plus original shipping on eligible purchases through the eBay resolution process.
Prior to that contact the seller and try to make conversation and solve the issue as these things may occur when selling online. But of coarse, if you cannot work things out you have the option of opening a case by going to the resolution center. Then a few questions will be asked from you and the seller will be contacted. If the seller doesn't make things right, eBay will review the case. If you didn't receive an item you paid for, you'll usually receive a full refund plus original shipping costs.
eBay and PayPal charge fees to sellers. eBay charges the seller fees, usually it's 9% of the final sale price plus shipping. But the seller can get the final value fee back if he/she will file the cancel transaction case. You will just need to agree to it once it's filed by the seller. With regard to PayPal, they charge 2.5% of the total receiving amount. But the seller can contact PayPal for credit once there is a reversal of payment, a refund.
Since it's not your fault, the seller do not need to charge you anything. If you will have problems with the seller, you can report the seller and can leave negative Feedback (within 60 days since the date of purchase)
To request a refund, send the seller an email. Ask the seller to go to the Transaction Details page for your transaction and click Issue a refund. You can request a refund up to 60 days after you pay for your item.
Here's how to find the seller's contact information:
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click History.
Click Details next to the transaction you want a refund for.
Use the contact information to send the seller an email.
If your seller doesn't agree to refund your money, you may be able to open a dispute in the Resolution Center. You can open a dispute if you didn't receive your item or you received something that doesn't match the seller's description. (You must open your dispute within 45 days of paying for your item.)
In the Resolution Center, you can communicate directly with the seller and try to resolve the problem. If you aren't able to work it out, we may be able to help you get a refund.
Note:
If you paid with your debit card or credit card, your payment is refunded to your debit card or credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your card statement.
If you paid with your bank account or PayPal balance, your payment is refunded to your PayPal account.
Hi the seller will mark it as despatched but you dont get an email unless the seller wants to send you one. Look in your summary to the left hand top and then click won/purchased in that menu there are little icons such as a $ or £, a parcel shape and a few others, if they are highlighted or coloured then the item has been shipped, if you hover over it with the mouse pointer it will tell you the date it was sent Regards Dan
Ah yeah, if it's ebay related, Paypal now holds the sellers money from the buyer til the buyer either gives good feedback or something like almost 30 days passes with out problem. If the good feedback comes fast, you get your money. OR prove you shipped the item; usually with a tracking number that you'll put into ebay or paypal to prove it. They had that policy for a while now. I hate it personally.
1) Search ebay for your item number.
2) On the left hand side of the page you should see "Seller Info". Just under that there's a menu option to "Ask the Seller a question" Click on that and more or less in the middle of the page there a "Contact seller" button. Click on there and send your email.
3) If you can't get throught via that route, go to the dispute proceedure. You've got 45 days under ebay and paypal rules to sort things out, after that they won't help you.
You will need to contact the seller for shipping info. See if they have a tracking number.
If you cannot get seller to respond or is evasive with you, go to PayPal website and click on the Resolution center and file a Dispute. Be prepared to document all communication with seller and attempts to resolve.
If you find this solution helpful, please click 'Accept' as that is how I get paid. Please feel free to add comments.
