It depends on how you wish to cook it and the type of sauerkraut being used. Types with sugars shouldn't be cooked. It is best used as a marinate instead of direct cooking as the wilted cabbage will smoke/burn faster than the pork will cook. If its to be stuffed into the chops, that is possible but it depends on the thickness of the chops and any exposed sauerkraut.

The cooking time given at 425 degrees Fahrenheit is for 20-30 minutes for every 3/4 - 1 pound of pork tenderloin (based on the cooking chart information on the web page cited above.)

Note: If you do not reside in the USA and therefore use Celsius temperature measurement, then, the cooking temperature will be about 218 degrees Celsius and the internal temperature, taken with an internal meat thermometer, should be about 52 degrees C when done.

I'm cooking for New Year's Day.... 2 at least 9lb pork roast with sauerkraut.....I have the big roaster up to 26 lbs...I can cook them together right ? And how much time...you think Please advise

Cooking times depend more on shape and size than on weight. Get yourself a good meat thermometer probe (they're not expensive unless you go wifi) and you or guests will be forever grateful. Alternatively, get a Thermapen and test regularly.

Low and slow. Cook the pork roast looooow and slooooow. Trying to rush this cut of meat just isn't a good idea. Cook the pork roast in a slow cooker for anywhere from 8-10 hours. Brown it before cooking.

I have an all clad pressure cooker I need to know how long to cook a 5 pound pork roast for pork tocos

Hi Sharon! If you want the seasonings to get all thru the meat, I would cut it into about 6 pieces. Add your seasonings and cook it for 20 - 25 minutes. I have been cooking for 50 years and bought one of the electric digital pressure cookers. Liked it so much I bought another one. I made a pork roast about 2 weeks ago and I cooked mine for 25 minutes, It was so tender I could pull it apart with dinner forks. The seasonings I used were fresh diced onions ( 1 med) 2 cloves fresh garlic diced, salt and pepper to taste. Hope this helps.

Can I safely use a Corning Ware casserole on the barbeque? I want to roast pork with sauerkraut. Barbara Beehner

I put the Corning Ware casserole in a foil roasting pan with several layers of foil in the bottom. This prevented the blackening of the casserole bottom and protected it from the direct flames. It worked great. Pork and sauerkraut were delicious
