Hi!
I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit (SP2) on my Acer Travelmate 3010. The laptop has a Intel Wireless 3945ABG network card (on board).
I've downloaded the latest driver (only the driver - not the tool) from the Intel-website (v. 12.4.0.0) and ran the installer. The device-manager says everything is perfect – means the driver shows up correctly without any problems.
Fine... but I don't find any router when I wish to connect. Neither my own nor the 2 routers of my neighbors...
Google didn't come up with any solution... finally I found this page.
Can someone help me?
Please!
Any further information needed? – please let me know!
Usually, on board wireless cards need to be enabled, or physically switched on via a toggle switch, or by pressing a button or a keyboard key (something like Fn + F2). Once it's enabled, a wireless light should turn on. If it appears to be enabled, you can further isolate the problem by checking if other wireless computers can see your router. If not, then the router probably needs to be configured properly.
