I'm trying to clean my Bosch oven, model number HES5052U, and twice now it gets 30 minutes into the self-cleaning cycle and then it shuts down... flashing Error 41. Everything seems to run smoothly until...

Allow the oven to cool before running self-clean. Always wipe out loose soils or heavy spillovers before running self-clean. If oven is badly soiled, set oven for the maximum self-clean time.

Here is the manual with "troubleshooting". Hopefully, it will help!

What is the f7 fault code

I have the double wall ovens. The lower oven read door lock & flashed F7. Check to make sure the lock is not sticking out a bit, it is on the left side of the oven. I'm not sure if this is what the f7 fault code is, but it worked for me :)

Upper oven elements don't heat

Hello- 'Successfully' sounds like you were forewarned....  During the 'self-clean' cycle a circuit or connection to the upper elements burned out while attempting to turn stuff inside the oven to ash. Since this is a wall oven my recommendation is for service from a good tech in your area. You may have lucked out with a fried connector, but many times control board is damaged beyond repair and must be replaced. Only on-site diagnostics will confirm, and this is a very heavy unit for most owners to safely service.  - Remember- Don't use 'self clean'!! Scrape and clean with soapy water and cloth. Turn on oven to 450deg. for 30 min. Much safer. Less costly.       Please acknowledge this post if the info is helpful- Have more if needed.  Thanks-  Ed

I would like to clean inside my oven on the top

if you have a self clean oven, do not use an abrasive cleaner to clean
I would recommend running a self clean cycle, and anything left
"Mr. Clean Magic eraser" should take care of it.
it works miracles in ovens

Cleaning better than self-cleaning

What you have read is correct, the catalytic lining can be damaged by corrosive sprays. It should be safe to use 'Easy Off ' on glass though.

The standard Auto clean cycle is the best method of cleaning that i know of.

Oven Door Locked

the oven door does lock during self clean, otherwise it will not work. however, the door is supposed to unlock after the oven has cooled. if it is still locked, turn the oven to self clean and wait about a minute and then hit cancel and see if the door unlocks. if not, there may be a probelm with the door lock mechanism.
