What does unsupported format mean

This means the type of picture on your camera is not supported by the viewing software on your computer. There are many shareware and freeware picture viewers and editors. You can tell the type of picture it is by the file ext (filename.ext). I suggest you search for a viewer for that picture type. I like bleepingcomuter.com and filehippo.com as sources for shareware.
