RCA DRC8052N DVD Player

You are getting this screen display as you switch on and it indicates that the processor starts up but since it does not move forward there are errors in the main board/processor board which give a wrong feedback thereby shutting off the player.
You need to check the power supply to start with and if all these seems OK , the main board is a suspect.

Like many RCA products that use a DVD Burner, these burners are not high end ones and go out without warning and the first indication is the dreaded HELLO issue. I have tried contacting RCA and the makers of the DVD-RW drives but still I am in the dark as to any possible firmware/software updates for these devices. No fix to this date, only replacing the DVD-RW will resolve this.

You can find the manual online at retrevo.com. You need to create an account by using an e-mail address and creating a password. Can't view it online but can download to computer in a .pdf format. Have already done it and have opened up the document.

I have advd 8052nb it is locked up and won't play.

Just called again and wanted to do a soft reset by pressing the power button and the stop button together. then try to open it, if not then turn the unit off and leave it off for 30 min then plug it back in and try opening it then. if still doesn't work then send it back and pay the $169 heheheheh crazy!

Try the input button on the DVD remote. You may have to move it to AV1 to get a picture??? Just a suggestion.
