Condura freezer not freezing inside only outside on top..

if new and a 5 ltr

check thermostat setting

it takes some time to freeze up unit and contents

motor will run a bit longer then normal

then should kick in on and off with the thermostat

This problem sounds like the door seals have either perished or broken somewhere. Check that the seals along the outside edge of the inside of the doors are intact and not damaged in any way. Any gaps or crushed parts may result in cold spots on the outside of freezer. There may even be a foreign object between the cabinet and the door seal, if so remove.

Try clearing all vents - inside (make sure vents not covered - in fridge and freezer) and outside (gently vacuum - the coil areas in the back and bottom of fridge)
Air needs to circulate in both parts (dependent on eachother)

Yes, the freezer temperature means the lid gets very cold. Every time you open it some moisture condenses in the lid and the outside ambient also affects it. The insulation may be beginning to break down and the ice is forming inside. It is not a major problem however and many freezers go on for years with freezing lids!

On a chest freezer , the coils are located inside the walls of the freezer . The heat normally felt on the outside is the condensor coils inside the wall. The coldness felt on the inside is from the evaporator coils also inside the freezer wall .If the inside of the freezer has over 1/2 inch of frost , then defrosting may work . If NO frost on the inside , possible leak in the coils which are not accessable . Only solution is to replace the freezer . Anyone can buy refrigerant 134a which is what your freezer uses .

Normally there is a Green light showing that power is on

A Yellow one for fast freeze and a Red one for under temperature

The outer casing is well insulated from the inside otherwise the freezer motor would run none stop without cooling the contents so the temperature of the outside casing will reflect the room temperature not the intenal

It freezes up because there's warm air going through the door or the gaskets are letting the outside air getting in.

a freezer is just a heat pump . from inside the freezer to the garage . the first law of thermodynamics says heat travels from a hotter to a colder surface . it could just be the cold how much are we talking?

The condenser or high side is built into the side walls on these modern freezers and refrigerators in many cases. It is normal for the outside walls to be hot when the unit is working. Frost on the inside of the sealed packets of food is from the moisture content of the food. Running the temperature setting to cold will accelerate the moisture freezing to the inside of the food packets. This also is a normal condition.
