Most likely, if power *is getting to the unit*, (there are lights lit on the washer), then the culprit will be a shorted user interface board(control panel). This is a fairly common type of issue with dishwashers. The soft-touch buttons or the touch panel has a shorted button or area(depending on the type you have) and nothing else will function because the unit thinks you're still pressing a control button. Also, a VERY common cause of this issue, aside from moisture or bugs, is a power outage damaging the console when power is restored due to a surge. After an outage where damage occurs, the symptoms don't usually start for about 3-4 weeks after due to damaged chips on the board starting to fail.
