Hi,

It means that the CD changer is malfunctioning. Mostly happends after condensation, due to it's location near the taillight. Go in the back, clean any moisture, take out the CD, and re-insert it. Problem should be solved. Audi should put this as one of the most common defects between the 99-03 a6

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Does the sony cdx -gt25 work with the sony cdx t69

To connect T69 with head unit GT25,bus cable connecting port is required through which you can connect cd-changer with your head unit.As GT25 has no bus port,it does't work.

After putting CD Changer CDX-T69 changer into boot

If the CD Changer was working previous to the installation, you may have damaged the cable on installation when routing it through the vehicle.

CDX changer has power but doesn't want to eject after flat battery

i resolved this myself in the end.
I unplugged the audio & power cables whilst the stereo and engine was running.
Then plugged back in.
I turned the engine off and stereo off as well.
I then unplugged audio and power again from the back of the CDX, left it unplugged for 10 minutes whilst the engine was still off.
I then plugged the leads back in and turned the engine on. the stereo recognised the CDX, but stayed on displaying "CD Checking". I switched to radio for 20 seconds, turned back to CDX and it selected CD 1 and has been good ever since.

I'm rather pleased with myself!

Sony CD interchanger CDX - T69 (how to reset?)

This would invalidate the warranty and you may break it but I have just had to do one:

1. Remove 4 black screws
2. Unclick the front panel - yes it is clicked on but may appear to be screwed
3. Take off black lid
4. Pop the cradled player from the 4 dampers and unhook from the 2 springs
5. Remove the ribbon connector - do this by slipping/clicking the brown holder very slightly and then the ribbon comes out easily
6. Now using a suitable tool push the stuck CD back into the magazine
7. Click the magazine out - there is a white piece of plastic what when moved does the eject.
8. Do the above in reverse.

The trick to get the grey horizontal/vertical discs back on is to set them passed horizontal one notch on and click them on at the end - turning one notch anti-clockwise to lock them.
