you will not get oversize bearings for big ends and mains
you will get .010" undersize bearings if the shaft has been ground .010"
get them from any engine reconditioning shop or good auto spares retailer
most piston /ring kits come in .010" , .020",.030",.040" oversize
most engine re-conditioners use cnc borers set to an over size and bore to that
after honing to get the correct cross hatch pattern in the bore , that is it
the ring gap is what is important and it should be around .003" per ever 1" of bore
so for a 3" bore the gap should be around .010"
experience has proved that if the cylinder is bored to say .020" oversize then when the gap for .020" oversize rings is checked ,it generally comes in around .015 and even as large as .020"
max specs for ring gaps is .025" which is for a worn cylinder
just honing a bore is a waste of effort as bores wear in a taper ( larger at the top than the bottom and this taper increases the wear of the new rings and can lead to broken rings
the ridge at the top of the bore has to be removed to allow the piston to come out easily and to prevent piston failure when the new rings are fitted
have a talk with engine reconditioning shops and then make an informed decision
remember that if the cylinder can be separated from the crankcase , you can buy standard or oversize piston/ring/cylinder sets as assemblies so there is no need to bore out or hone.
the size of the ring will be determined by the bore size
so if it is a 3"(75mm) bore the ring will be that size if placed in the bore separate to the piston and pushed square and to the bottom of the bore the ring gap will denote if standard , worn or oversize to standard
new rings in new bores will have a ring gap of around .010"
worn rings will have a larger gap up to .040" and will have sharp edges where the ring lands wear the rings
over size rings in standard bore probably won't even fit in the bore to start with
ring sets are bought in standard size , .010" over size,.020" oversize,.030" oversize,.040" oversize with the oversize equalling the final hone of a machine bore
so if the machine shop bores the cylinder out to .020" oversize then you need .020" oversize rings to maintain the correct ring gap
from experience I have found that if I follow that rule , on measuring the ring gap at the bottom of the bore the ring gap is about .015" or half worn out
I counter this by getting the next size ring .030" and filing the ends of the rings at the gap to obtain the .010" gap This has produced better longer lasting repairs
The bore has to be measured at a number of places to see if it is out of round 0.01mm or tapered 0.05mm You will need to take it to an engineering shop that can do the boring, they can measure the piston and bore to determine what oversize it will need. with only light scratches probably 1 oversize 0.25mm, if it has been bored before the oversize is stamped on the top of the piston. 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 A rough measurement can be done with a feeler gauge, between the piston skirt and bore. piston clearance for a 125 is about 0.055-0.060mm with a limit of 0.1mm
thats a good un? ok standard bearings are a standard size,,,over size bearings are smaller in the center to make up for the metal that has been removed from when the bearing was re-fased
ie: ground down to smooth it off so its flat again,,,,,now you can fit oversized bearings on a standerd bearing becouse they would be far to tight and would lock the bearing up,,,,so you need to re-grind the bearing serfice or fit standerd bearings back in,,,only if the shaft is a good one?

I believe the pistons only range from stock to 1st oversize. Boring to first oversize will not make a noticeable change in performance. If you want a real change what you need is a race cam. You will be able to wax any other 125cc and many 150cc bikes. Below is a source. www.webcamshafts.com
It looks like Babbitt's has the parts. Pistons and rings are sold in 3 sizes; standard, .020 oversize and .040 oversize. I would suggest you have the cylinder bored and install new piston, rings and needle bearing.
