The table on my 1011 Makita miter saw is jammed and I want to remove it

The table would not turn but now moves some with the WD 40 but won't come apart even after removing the screw that holds it together. Am I missing something?

SOURCE: Bosch 4000 table saw disassembly

turn the motor housing slightly until you can put a screwdriver between the housing and diaphragm, pull on the one side and push with the driver and it will come apart, I just did one yesterday. To get the armature out of the fan bearing you will need a dead blow hammer to tap on the diaphragm while pulling on the armature. The bearing is held in place with 2 screws, hope this helps.

SOURCE: having trouble removing the motor from the bosch

tilt the saw head and then use a screwdriver to gently pry apart. the bearings in the housings are keeping it from coming apart or the armature and or field are melted causing this, either way the screwdriver trick will work.

Makita L1011 compound sliding saw with sticky miter table

The LS1011 doesn't have a table angle release lever like the newer models so it's harder too swing the table from angle to angle, this also causes the plastic swing body to crack. Have you loosened the locking screw for the table? The table may have to be removed and the pivet shaft greased. I had this problem with an old Makita Table Saw 10" 2600.

My LS1216 slide compound miter saws mitering table is stuck at 0 degrees it appears jammed although I've looked for something jammed stopping the plate from moving and see nothing, the handle locking...

Hello stella....... There is a locking mechanism on the miter saw to lock it on whatever setting you require. loosen that locking mechanism and the saw should move for you. Here is a schematic of the parts so you can see exactly which parts are involved

My saw wont bevel cut easily...It will go to one side just fine....but the other side sticks and its really hard to move...I tried using some wd 40 and it helped a little but its still hard to do.

OK you are on the right track, I would remove the handle assembly on the back and push the travel as far back as possible to look at the bolt for stripped threads. then what I would do is use some dry lubricant and spray the washer and the housing and let dry, after drying reassembly tightening the nut enough to hold in place and reposition the handle. then try again, it could also be messes up in the circular area but for that I would recommend taking to a repair center.

I need to remove the table from the base.

generally you would have to remove both kerf boards and you will find a hex nut in the recessed area of the table, on a Makita is a 13MM remove it and then while lifting up on the table wiggle it and it should come apart. Let me know if you still need more information.

Craftsman Miter Saw - can't remove the blade

It is left hand thread and if the lock won't hold what you can try is put a 2x4 on the table and pull the head down against the wood and with a good socket and ratchet loosen it that way.. remember to tighten to loosen

I have a makita mitre saw and need to adjust the angle to 45 degrees. I unlock it and try to turn it but it won't turn. Any ideas?

you have to turn the handle, it works like a bolt, you cant see it but it is tied in, you have to unscrew it before trying to move it
