Is there a way to have a line's voicemails transferred to my voicemail?

I have the main office line at my desk, it's extension is 500, I also have another line that is supposed to be my direct dial, it is extension 557. The 557 line used to be in another office, but there is no longer a receiver in that office and I need to be able to answer both lines and receive the voicemails from both phone numbers. Is there a way I can set up the other line to transfer any voicemails left to the main line?

SOURCE: mitel 5212 no dial tone and goes straight to voicemail

Not too sure about the no dial tone issue, but you can check to see if the DND is turned on...
Press the Blue Superkey and scroll thru till you see DND (Do Not Disturb) is on and shut it off.

SOURCE: Mitel 5220 IP phone won't ring when the main line is ringing

It's even simpler than previously solved; The system administrator can correct this for you in a simple programming change. In the form Multiline set key assignment change the ring type from "No Ring" to "Ring" that's it, done! (I hope you enjoy the digs).

When I transfer a call from the front desk, the person's voicemail does not pick up, it transfers back to front desk.

Either the voicemail box isn't setup, the voicemail box isn't assigned to that extension, or that extension has forwarding setup that is incorrect. I have no experience with a Nortel phone system though so if you need specifics on how to get into those areas of your system to fix them you'll have to wait for another response.

As the receptionist I take calls and then transfer them to the person the caller disires to speak with. For example, if I am on a call and the person I am speaking with would like to speak with my boss, I...

A couple of things, but first. When you TRANSFER a call to your boss using the transfer button, he key to getting rid of the call is to hang up. But that's not your problem. When we install voice mail systems, we reserve 3 buttons; one for VM TRANSFER, one for 2 WAY TRANSFER, and one for VM RECORD. It's easier to link you to the OM of a TDA system than explain it, so here's the link http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TDA/200_TDA_OM_06-121.pdf

Pdf page 170 will give you the table for setting up your 94,91 and 90 codes for the above features.
Basically, you press PROGRAM, the button, and dial, for example, 94 500 SAVE to store the VMT . You use it by pressing that button while you on the call (no hold) and either dial your boss' extension or press his DSS button. If you use the 2-way transfer, you can actually put his number under one button and carry on a 2-way conversation with the outside party. Kind of like you would do with the old 'pink slip' messages.

All the calls we recieve in the office go through me. I greet the caller and then transfer them to the person they want to speak with. When I transfer a call, let's say to my boss, my boss will pick up...

Haven't you solved this yet? When we install a system, we reserve THREE buttons for voice mail functions. One is VM Transfer, one is 2 Way Transfer, and one is VM Record. In order you pick 3 buttons press PROGRAM one of the buttons and dial in order 94 500 STORE 01 500 STORE and 90 500 STORE, assuming your voice mail is on the default extension of 500. To send a call to someone's voice mail you press VMT and his DSS button or dial his extension and hang up. The outside party will get all of his greeting. If you want to prompt the user, like you would if you were taking a pink slip, you press 2W Transfer and his extension and carry on a conversation with the outside party. The message records in their mailbox as a new message. If you want to silently record into your OWN box, you press the VM Record button and your conversation is recorded into your own box as a new or old message, depending on how the system is set up.

There are other variations, including a single button transfer into someone's mailbox and some other features that are covered in you telephone sytsem OM or User's manual under Customizing your phone.

Incoming calls ring 3 times at main extension, then phone stops ringing at main & rolls over to ring at all other phones. Phone rings once at those extensions before going to voicemail. (We have...

Your voicemail thinks that it is ringing six times. The time that it takes to transfer to the extensions counts. Whiloe it seems that there is a lapse the system actually is using enough time to ring six times total. If you need longer ring time at the extension, take in account the transfer time and set it to pick up after 8 or 9 rings. It will actually only ring six. You just have to trick the system a little.
