My Frigidaire keeps flashing a Er message with all other features lighted up also. Unpluging doesn't work. Anyone know the sequence of buttons to press to reset? I realize I need to fine out why its giving an error message to begin with, but if I can't reset it I'll buy a new one. Not from Frigidaire though.
Thanks for your help
So should we be making sure they are aware of this and if its a common issue they should be fixing it free of charge....
I had the same problem, also the keypad for cycle selection was half working. Turning off the breaker enabled me to reset the controller for a while.
Calling Frigidaire did not help mutch, I should call a repairman and maybe they would pay for half the part. DW is 18 months old.
Finally, the control was completly gone and the breaker trick did not work anymore, so I replaced the controller board myself.
Then it did not work either, but had different apparent symptoms before falling in ER mode.
I was able to program my favorite cycle, then I disconnected the keypad flex.
Works fine now!
I only have 1 cycle, but it works. Will try the old controller to see if I put $160 on a new one for nothing.
I had the same problem last spring. Unfortnuatly, the problem is within the electronic control. Steam leaks in, due to an improper seal ring. Humidity stay in the compartment and eventually, the contact on the wire ribbon corrodes. For me, it meant a new electronic module.
If the eletronic module is ok, then the only working solution require that you order and install a "fit kit" from Frigidaire.
Some models even have a recall made form Frigidaire. Better check with them.
Good luck!
Good Afternoon Delia Collins, thank you for your post!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire dishwasher is flashing an "ER" error code on the panel. Typically, the "ER" stands for an error code sometimes to help clear out a false error code you can perform a reset on your dishwasher. In order to do that you would need to disconnect power from your dishwasher for approximately ten minutes.
If you continue to experience an issue with the error code I would recommend contacting a technician for proper repairs. The technician will be able to properly diagnosis your dishwasher and this will help you to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt
Good Morning Jimpat Holmes, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that you are having an error code "ER" displayed on the panel of your Frigidaire dishwasher. Normally, "ER" stands for error code and that can be a miscommunication within the board. I would perform a reset on your dishwasher and you can do that by disconnecting power from your dishwasher for ten minutes. If you continue to receive an error code you could be experiencing an issue within the control panel or faulty wiring harness. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
Hi
"Er Clean S" is a common error with Frigidaire which means
shorted keypad. The issue is with the touchpad/keypad that should be replaced.
However, before replacing the keypad you can unplug it and take it apart
completely and use a hair dryer to blow some warm air on the keypad assembly to
blow the moisture off. Hope this helps...please post back for further
assistance.
