HOW TO REPAIR A THERMOSTAT

Hi, it won't cause your oven overheating by hanging loose. I think your thermostat is faulty. I don't suggest opening it to try and repair it yourself. If your tamper with the metal plates inside, your temperature will not be accurate as where you set it for 120 degrees Celcius or 248 fahrenheit it will meybe give you a true temperature of 220 degrees celcius or 428 fahrenheit which would be chaos. Rather rplace the complete thermostat unit.

Follow the large hose on the left side of the radiator until you find the piece it connects to(with the engine ). This is the thermostat housing, the thermostat is inside it.

Runs constantly seems like it never shuts down our power bill is soaring

Hello there:
The refrigerator never cycles off The thermostat cycles the refrigerator on and off. The refrigerator normally runs as long as the temperature inside the refrigerator is higher than the set temperature. If the temperature inside the refrigerator is cold enough and the thermostat still does not cycle off, the thermostat may be defective. If so, you need to replace it, because it cannot be repaired. If the thermostat is not defective, you may have a problem with the sealed (refrigerant) system, in which case you should contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

How do i fix the thermostat?

A thermostat can be replaced easily enough but there is no repair. It is inside the "goose neck" at the engine end of the upper radiator hose. The thermostat and gasket should be under $10 if you wish to change it yourself. Make sure you replace any coolant with the same kind.
