I have Intel DG31PR series motherboard with 2GB

I have Intel DG31PR series motherboard with 2GB Transcend DDR2@667MHz Jet Ram with 160GBSEagate HDD withdual boot options of xpsp3&vistaultimate & 1 sony 20X DVD Writer and external tvtuner of intex & my problem is it is not showing any display on my monitor and gets restarted after few seconds followed with some system beeps , i got it checked from local vendor & told that it might be due to some shortcircuiting in the board

The number of the beeps is a specific post
error code and should help diagnose. e.g.:
my computer has 3 beeps to indicate RAM
failure. Note the beeps and find in your manual
or from Intel support.

Problem with installing win2003 on motherboard DG31pr

It mainly due to the lower version of driver trying to install at the time of installation of windows 2003.because older windows does not contain proper driver for latest Mother board chipset.

So install latest Windows 2003 or updated windows 2003 Operating system.

Perhaps remove and reinstall the memory modules.

You could try reseting the Bios settings using the jumper of the motherboard after installing the new Rams. Anyways ,its working, so don't do that now :P .

You MUST run a 64 BIT if you want to run anything more than 3 Gb of ram ( such as windows xp 64 BIT , Vista 64 BIT , or even winows 2008 server 64 BIT ) Windows 2003 does NOT support 64 BIT ....
