Yes, look for two 1000uf capacitors on the power supply PCB near the output cable to the main PCB. They will have swelling and discolouration. Replace those and should fix your problem.
Try your luck, if it's under warranty. They have 1-year on-site warranty on SyncMaster 943NWX where they ask no questions. The heat-sensitive power button failed to work in my 943NWX and was solved with no questions. It depends mate, if you are lucky.

It may be that the LCD monitor will not display all screen resolutions
so you may need to change your resolution to match the desired
resolution and refresh rate of the LCD. In your case the computer
should be outputting:
1024x768 pixels 60 Hz
You can change these settings by right clicking on the desktop and clicking properties and they're under the settings tab. Change the screen resolution by moving the slider to the recommended setting (1024x768)
and
under the advanced button click the "monitor" tab - make sure the screen refresh rate is set to 60 hertz (60 hz)

* With the TV in standby, press the {INFO} {MENU} {MUTE} {POWER} buttons on the remote.
