The barcode reader eclipse ms5145 powers on,the laser light blinks and beeps at scan by not scan the barcode

It could be either one of two things, first of all will this unit scan any barcodes, or is it just one particular one it will not scan. If nothing scans and if no special programming was added to the scanner I would consider defaulting the unit back to factory settings. This procedure can be found in the manual that came with the scanner or here is a link http://www.honeywellaidc.com/CatalogDocuments/00-02544%20Rev%20K%202-11.pdf *** If you are going to do this please confirm that no special programming was done to this *** but normally they are ready to scan right out the box. So scan the barcode to "enter/exit configuration" the unit will beep tree times, then scan the "recall defaults" and the unit will beep once. Then scan the "enter/exit configuration" once more. Then try to scan a retail barcode. Hope this helps.

man. do a workaround. if it works.

go to the barcode machine website and check how to make it factory rest not by pressing reset button but by downloading and printing a paper which contains barcode on it.

u just have to print it and then use your barcode scanner to read the barcode on it. that will reset the device to factory settings

what kind of scanner is it? is it a 2d barcode that you are trying to scan?

Also make sure it isn't a printer issue: ie: barcode is too light.

Does the scanner act like it sees the barcode? beep or any other notification?

4 beep error when scanning barcode

The four beep error is a communications error. Usually it indicates the scanne is not configured properly. If the scanner is connecting with the CBA-K01-S07PAR cable and you are using a PS/2 keyboard you should have scanned the IBM PC/AT barcode from Adobe page 56 of 342 of the LS2208 Product Reference Guide.

If you do not have a PS/2 keyboard attached and are using a USB to PS/2 adapter you should scan the IBM AT Notebook from that same page. If the scanner does not start working immediately you may have to reboot your system. If the scanner still does not work the CBA-U01-S07ZAR USB cable might be a better choice.

If you are not connecting with either of these cables and are still getting the four beep error a call to the Motorola support center may be in order. Their phone number is 800-653-5350.

Locked Metrologic MS9520-37 (keyboard wedge) after unintentional programming

You programmed it for usb interface, but the scanner is keyboard wedge. Try pointing the scanner at the "recall defaults" barcode in the manual as you plug the scanner back in.

Symbol LS 4007i

Barcode readers are autonomous (no computer interaction required for them to work) readers beep to confirm that the barcode is valid, unfortunately this does not confirm that it has made it to the computer, you need to ensure that the driver & capture software is installed properly, check that the device is showing correctly in device manager.
