My Samsung CoolTech Model SR-L709EVSS fridge and freezer works for a few days and then goes off by its self and then works again. What could the problem be?

I had the same problem and I just removed the control panel / display from the top. It is still working fine 10 years later. Too late for you but might help someone.

turn off the fridge for two days, sounds like you have a drain blockage, causing ice to build up in your air channels

before I sugest an idea I will ask you to make sure the new bulbs are not damage you can make a test with anything you may have at home that requieres a bulb less than 100 watts.if the new bulb is working unplug the fridge and try to pull out the center of the socket were the bulb rest is a small metal plate.use a pen,pensil plastic knif or regular kitchen knife tu open it but no to break it all the way just make sure your fridge/freezer is completly UNPLUG FROM THE POWER OUTLET

Every time I select my fridge and freezer temperature from -16 and 3 degrees C respectively it keeps on going back to 20 and 18 degree C. Please assist.

Keep your hand on condenser coil if it's visible or left and or right side body of the fridge. If you feel hot the gas is o.k. Otherwise no gas or chock. You have to repair and refill the gas.

on the main circuit board on top of the fridge is a button with "test" on it. hold that in for a few sec, it should start beeping at you. push it again and it will beep again, do this about 4 time till it goes quite. this may fix it but the reason for it is prob your sensor is covered in ice, you need to leave it off with the doors open. there are 2 drain pipes at the back of the fridge ( bottom ) defrost it till no more water comes out of these, when you think its done, leave it for a few more hours and if any water comes out your not defrosted yet--- mine took almost 3 days.

that problem very likely is the control board. there is another brand of fridge in S.AFRICA THAT DOES THE EXACT THING OF WHICH THE BOARD HAS TO BE CHANGED.
