How do I get my PS4 to play via NEC NP310 Projector it has no HDMI input?

DVI video cables don't carry audio. Thus you need to use an audio extractor or converter instead of just an HDMI to DVI adapter cable. Try something like this: https://www.amazon.com/J-Tech-Digital-Extractor-Converter-JTDAT5CH/dp/B00BIQER0E/ref=psdc_280341_t1_B01MQYTUAK . Then connect the HDMI to DVI cable to the HDMI out of the converter. Then the audio out to one of the audio connections on the LCD4610-BK. Note: this converter requires you to get the extra HDMI and audio cables separately. Depending on your ROKU device, you might need an HDMI (F to M) adapter to ensure that you aren't blocking other things on the front of the converter. Then set the monitor to the appropriate video and audio inputs separately.

It should work right away. Try again, restart the projector and ps3 make sure everything is connected and the input on the projector is on dvi.

Remember, that a DVI and a DVI-D are different cords. DVI-D carries sound just like the HDMI. One possible solution is to try a HDMI-RCA adapter. You will see a reduction in resolution though.

Sounds like an issue with the HDMI HDCP content protection. I do not think it will be possible to connect using a DVI to HDMI cable.

If your projector has a HDMI connection or a DVI.

if you have a HDMI plug it straight in and select either HDMI1 or 2 as your input

or if has DVI you will need a DVI to HDMI convertor.

even if you have VGA you should be able to do it but you getting to many wires involved then but heres how any way VGA > VGA to DVI > DVI to HDMI

did you buy that adapter from radio shack if so then return it and look at somewhere like staples or best buy they can help you

your projector might not be able to take this resolution

cheak out put on samsung to set it at 720 hdmi out ect might nee dto use red green blue or s video to see menu

For the record I have a playstation 3 running to tx100 through hdmi to dvi adapter. It does all resolution no probs, including 720p,1080i and 1080p (which tx100 does do smoothly through dvi). My denon upscaling dvd player works fine too. In fact the tx100 looks totally awsome with PS3 games and Blu-ray.

Maybe your dvi lead is the wrong type (i think there are 2 types) or perhaps you could test with a differrent piece of DVI kit in case it's your pioneer causing probs? Hope this helps.
