It sounds like either the battery needs replacing or you need a new power supply.

If it works while plugged into the power and only shuts off when unplugged then it's the battery otherwise it's the power supply.

SOURCE: how to change the cooling fan in a toshiba laptop model p200d-139

Instructions

Shut down your Toshiba laptop, and then disconnect all cables. Close the LCD lid, and then place the laptop face down on a flat surface. Position the laptop with front edge facing you.

Locate the battery pack near the top section of the laptop's bottom casing. Press on the battery release button. Remove the battery from the laptop.

Locate the cooling fan compartment cover. Its location varies from laptop to laptop, but it will be the only hardware cover with a vent in it. Remove the Phillips-head screws securing the fan's cover in place. Remove the cover from the laptop.

Disconnect the fan's cable from its connector on the motherboard. Remove the Phillips-head screws securing the fan in place. Lift the old fan out of the fan compartment and set it aside. Removing the old fan will reveal the processor chip. Apply a thin coat of thermal grease to the processor's surface using a clean paper towel. This will prevent your new processor from frying once you power on your laptop.

Place the new cooling fan assembly inside the fan compartment. Align the screw holes on the new fan with the screw holes inside the compartment. Replace the four retaining Phillips-head screws, and then reconnect the fan's power cable to the motherboard. Replace the fan compartment's plastic cover, and its retaining Phillips-head screws.

Replace the battery pack and reconnect all power cables and external devices. Turn on your laptop to test the new cooling fan

Toshiba equium p200d-139 gets power but wont start up trying to but fan stops and nothing,no screen activity or anything dvd drawer pops in and out so there is some power tryed another lcd but no joy need...

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty

if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as an electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems

computers need all electrical power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free

restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

hope this helps

Toshiba p200d-137LAPTOP-MOTHERBOARD

Don't even think about buying a second hand /used one, you are just asking for problems unless you actually see it come out of a working machine. You may as well buy a new laptop. Are you sure it's a motherboard problem.

How to convert my my toshiba laptop w/ a usb port or a rgb port, to my jvc lcd 46' hdtv 1080p. is there any downloads that can help. I would like to have a nice media center.

I am unsure that yours is the same as mine (mine is a equium p200d-139)
It has a svhs socket onthe side and on the F5 key is the pc/tv switch ( by pressing the fn key and f5 you go from screen to svhs and screen then just svhs then back to screen)
If you have such a socket just connect a svhs cable to the tv and power the tv up, select the svhs (mine is shared with av2 on my tv (sony))
you may have to go into display options in the control panel also.
I hope this helps

Make on your bluetooth you should must installed the driver for it. If driver is ok, Then:
  • Navigate Start -> Control Panel
  • See the Bluetooth icon and double. Then you can make the settings for your devices or other properties.
  • You can also checkout Wireless, if you have this icon double click on it and see if there is any option for bluetooth.

Thanks
Iqbal
