Don't worry overly, the shapes of things will be altered as you change the resolution. The main preset resolution s have different
aspect ratios

1920 x 1080 is 1.77/1

1600 x 1200 is 1.33/1

you change aspect ration according to your selected resolution.

Your monitor will have a native resolution at which everything looks normal, .......If you vary from that resolution things will obviously change.

Nothing happens when i connect my RGB to my TV i have pressed the button on my laptop which enables the external monitor connect but that still dosnt work.......... Also my laptop screen also turns black

The laptop screen turning black is what it's supposed to do.
Make sure your computer has the correct output, and the TV has the correct inputs. Very few laptops have analog video out (like the 3 RCA jacks, or the round S-Video jack), but some newer TVs have VGA inputs (Often blue, trapezoidal shaped plug with lots of pins).
If your TV and Laptop are compatible, make sure you've set the Input on the TV to the correct source. You will need to consult your TV manual for this.

PL 9 19" CRT Monitor: my mag innovision lt716s 700p monitor screen keeps...

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer or service center within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

I m using acer moniter,i got the probs with its screen display..width of the screen is expand until max n now pic doesnt look good because width is wider then its height...can u pls assit me how to decrese...

You need to set the PC VIDEO resolution to the native resolution of the monitor to get correct aspect ratio (not adjustable at the monitor, the adjustment is doen at the PC VIDEO card setting), you need to find that out from your monitor owner manual.

Mag innovision LT716s monitor

When I turn on my computer the monitor takes a long time to warm up and colors change and vertical lines flash across the screen from right to left before the screen becomes normal again. Now the power light even goes out upon turning on my computer and I have to unplug the video cord and plug it back in to start the screen back up which even takes longer.

Oval to Round

Try changing to a different video resolution setting. Most monitors work well with the resolution set to 1024 X 768. I'm not sure what operating system you're using, but here's an example of how to do it with Windows XP...

Right-click on your desktop...then click Properties -- Settings --
You can try different resolution settings in the settings window.

Good luck...and I hope this helps!
