Some "new" (10 - 15 years old) CRT TV sets don't even have a vertical control screw. So when it stars jumping, means vertcal circuit is failing and your TV should be repaired.. but most probably it isn't worth to be repaired.

Adjust vertical height kg 55lh55

To adjust the height of the picture, you have to enter its service mode option, and should adjust the vertical amplitude data value, accordingly. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Top of screen disappeared...cant see score of game

The Height adjustment is off... look in the back of the TV set, it has some knobs in the back, one should be vert.lin for Vertical Linearity adjustment, and there is another call Vert.Hgt. for Vertical Height adjustment. try adjusting the Vertical Height first with someone watching in the front of the big TV to see if the top comes back into view, you might have to adjust the knob very slowly one way then the other way, to make this adjustment. If it doesnot adjust take it to a TV shop to get it repaired.
Good Luck.

How do you adjust a headlight from pointing up to the right height

VERTICAL AIM ADJUSTMENT
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface approximately 7.6 meters (25 feet)
from a vertical wall or screen directly in front of it.

2. Measure the height from the
center of your headlamp to the
ground and mark a 2.4 meter (8
foot) horizontal reference line on
the vertical wall or screen at this
height (a piece of masking tape
works well). The center of the lamp
is marked by a 3.0 mm circle on the
headlamp lens.

3. Turn on the low beam headlamps to illuminate the wall or screen and
open the hood.

4. On the wall or screen you will
observe a light pattern with a
distinct horizontal edge of high
intensity light with a slight angle
towards the right. If this edge is not
at the horizontal reference line, the
beam will need to be adjusted.

5. Locate the vertical adjuster on
each headlamp, then use a 4 mm
socket/wrench to turn the adjuster
either counterclockwise (to adjust
down) or clockwise (to adjust up)
aligning the upper edge of the light
pattern up to the horizontal line
.
6. HORIZONTAL AIM IS NOT
REQUIRED FOR THIS VEHICLE
AND IS NON-ADJUSTABLE.

Is there a vertical height adjustment on the Toshiba 27A3. Thanks, Ian

yes there is but there are 3 capacitors in the vertical circuit that go bad causing a height problem, white lines on top,or a very small height. change the capacitors in the vertical section.the yoke on the back of the picture tube has 2 coil sets on it,one is horizontal, and the other is vertical.the connector next to the flyback transformer is the horizontal. follow the wiring from the other connector and it will take you to the vertical drive ic located on a heat sink.the three capacitors go bad because of heat from the heatsink cooling the vertical drive ic.

Adjusting vertical height

I looked for info for your the Mct-2051 & imagine my surprise that Magnasonic not only doesn't have a manual for your model they don't recognize the model #. Excuse my sarcasm.

If MCT-2051 is not a typo, then the closest I could find was an MCT-2053 & there was no mention of a vertical height adjustment by software control. From my past experience this adjustment can only be performed by a TV tech because you need to access the inside of the TV.

The fact the picture has shrunk this much means that the vertical height driver is failing & eventually you will see nothing but a vertical line, stretched across the screen. Which will mean, that do to Magnasonics' lack of support, you'll be out of luck.

When shopping in the future for a TV try to stay with name brands who will support their products.

By the way, where did you hear that you could adjust the VH utilizing the remote? That could possibly be a function of digital device like a computer monitor, not an analog device like your TV.

TV vertical height-Mitsubishi Model CS 35505

If the height has dropped down, you need to first find out why. Most likely there is a bad capacitor in the sweep power supply or the vertical output section. Good Luck
