SOURCE: Docucolor 12 Not Printing with another Fiery

could be a few things, the ips pwb in the machine might be faulty, which can cause these types of issues, a driver issue woth the video boards on the fiery, or other pwbs on the machine itself. You would have to run the machine for a while on another fiery to make sure no other faults occur before condemning the machine or the fiery

SOURCE: Xerox DCCS50 to DC12, change Cobra with X12 fiery

at the end of setting up network settings it should ask if you want to save settings, click yes then its enabled. i have never had a fiery that doesnt hold its settings so its probably something you arent pressing.
there is an issue with one of the mac OS's that it just doesnt like the old fiery rips and you will never be able to print, but i'm not that clued up on the mac side and cant remember, sorry.
from your add printer section it should automatically see the x12 and give you the options of a hold, print and direct queue. I f you havent got a pc then the only queues that is useful to you is direct. Print holds the job on the hard drive and will eventually fill the server

FIERY X12 & DC12 NOT CONNECT

In my experience, power both machines down using the preferred method (the copier will either have a sticker on it telling you how to safely shut down, or it may say to just flip the switch, and the fiery server should have a menu screen on the front of it, navigate to the restart option) then power up the Feiry server first, then power up the copier. If you use command workstation, there may be a reboot option as well. Also make sure all network cables are properly seated before rebooting machines. The most common issue is that when the machines are on for a long period of time, the just loose connection, and the reboot re-establishes a connection.

I have a docucolor 12 and x12 fiery. I am trying to calibrate from the fiery. It will printer calibration page, but it can't measure scanner. It comes up with check scanner cable connection. I have tried...

You should have a color separation guide with small gray scale from Kodak. You put the gray scale and the calibration sheet on the glass and follow the instructions from the fiery display.

I have got a Xerox Docucolor 12 printer, a Fiery X12, and a laptop running on Vista. I dont have any cables except the power cables and was looking for a list of everything I'd need to get it running...

There are 2 cables that go between the fiery and the printer, not sure where you can get these.
You will need to be running windows xp
connect to the fiery with an ethernet line
download the drivers, command workstation, and fiery remote scan from the xerox website
hopefully the fiery still has its software loaded otherwise post a request for a copy here.
