Could be a bad main board or a bad LCD panel.

Make sure your cable is not causing it by wiggling it at each end.

Check that none of the capacitors on the main board or power board are bad.

Call Viewsonic and find your closest service provider. Have them check on the price of the main board. If it's under $50 it might be worth buying to see if it fixes the ptoblem.

I found yellowish display instead of black

Classic case of color IC going dead. You need a expert CRT technician to replace the aging IC. My recommendation is trade this CRT for a LCD, or if you have any warranty, get this monitor replaced.

My monitor stays white it wont show any display

Hi,
black-icon.gif This icon indicates the BRIGHTNESS control, more properly called BLACK LEVEL. It adds or subtracts an offset, or bias, into the red, green, and blue signals. This control should be adjusted so that black picture content displays as true black on your monitor. Misadjustment of this control is the most common problem of poor quality picture reproduction on computer monitors, video monitors, and television sets. Later in this document, I will explain how to set this control properly. The setting is somewhat dependent upon ambient light. Modern display equipment is sufficiently stable that frequent adjustment is unnecessary.

picture-icon.gif This icon indicates the CONTRAST control, preferably called PICTURE. It applies a scale factor (gain) to the red, green, and blue signals. It affects the luminance (proportional to intensity) that is reproduced for a full white input signal. Once BRIGHTNESS is set correctly, CONTRAST should be set for comfortable viewing brightness.

The gamma can be controlled through Video Card utility which can usually be accessed by going to display properties.

Depending on your video card software you may be able to right click your desktop, select properties, select settings tab and then choose advanced, towards the bottom. In there you may find a tab called Monitor and under that tab you may or may not (depending on your video card software) be able to adjust your color correction settings(gamma & brightness & contrast).

. Right click on the desktop and then select Properties

2. Click on the Settings tab and then click on the Advanced button.

3. Click on the Color Correction tab and you will see settings for Brightness, Contrast, and Gamma

Color goes off

If your color is messed up on your display also then I think you need a new monitor. Why don't you try using a monitor that you know works and see if you have the same problem. Then let us know the results or the answer so we can have a little more to work with.

Black color displayed as green

If the owner's manual covers it, I would do a factory reset on it. I would also test the PC and video card by trying another monitor to be sure. I would check the pins for ones which are bent or broken, and check the cable for pinched spots. After that, I would say the monitor has a bad signal / video board in it.
