Other than a machine malfunction, too much sugar, honey, milk, or egg in the dough will cause yeast breads to burn.

The bread burns and won't come out

try a lighter crust setting. Are you using any type fo fat (light oil or butter)? You should. Also spray the pan and paddles with Pam or other non-stick spray before placing your ingredients in the bread pan.

Here is some operating instructions one baker used for this machine;

But here's how to actually use it:

Put wet ingredients in loaf pan. Heap dry ingredients on top. Make a well in dry ingredients and add yeast, ensuring it doesn't touch liquid if you want to use the timer. Put pan in breadmaker, clicking into place.

Plug in breadmaker but DO NOT touch the on/off button till the very last.

Using the "menu" button, choose what type of bread you're making (the top two rows -- normal, fruity etc).
Using the "crust control" select how dark you want your crust.
Using the "timer" select how long till you get the finished product. The minimum is 3 hours for quick bread/medium crust, which I often use, the maximum 14 hrs 30mins. It goes up in 30 minute increments with each push of the up arrow. Remember, what the timer shows is when the finished bread will be ready.

Once you're satisfied with your settings, press on/off

If you choose "fruity bread" the timer will beep into the kneading process to tell you it's time to add the fruit. It goes in at a later stage.

When the bread is finished, it will keep on a warm cycle for a while until you switch it off.

I use high grade flour and add 1 tsp gluten flour to each cup of flour. The bread rises more.

Burns bread before it can get done. Tried it three times. I am making a 1 1/2 pound loaf of sweet bread. I tried setting it to one pound and light crust but it still burns the bread before it gets done. I...

Look very carefully where the bread pan goes in. There is a heating element around it. If the bread pan is too close or touching the heating element ( the round thing running around the wall), it will burn the bread. You can try moving the bread pan away from the heating element. If you try and bend the heating element, it may break the element, so move the bread pan only.

The bread is too dry

Welcome to FixYa, if you appreciate our solution, please rate our services.

Breadmakers usually don't have as many crust settings as this one does. Darker crust settings usually equate to dryer bread because the bread bakes longer. The longer the bread bakes, the more moisture is removed. Accordingly, if you've tried this many recipes with dry texture, try progressively lighter crust settings until you get the moisture you desire. As for me, I rarely bake my bread in the machine (I don't like the hole in the bottom of the loaf). I do, however, appreciate the dough setting which does all the hard work, and I just bake it in the pan. I think the results are better and I get a better shaped loaf.

If this information has been helpful, don't forget to give me an appropriate rating. Thanks again and good baking!

My crust keeps burning

It seems like the strength of the heat/oven varies a lot from a machine to another... Mine works great with most recipes, but my parents' burns the crust everytime. The only adivce I can give you is to check on the baking process and stop your machine when the bread has a golden crust. It doesn't solve the problem, but at least you get your bread...
