-Make sure the vents are not being covered when using it (blanket, laying on bed).
-Find the vents. Turn the computer on and listen by the vents to. If you can hear a fan spinning, the inegrated video on the system is overheating.
-If no fan is spinning, you need to have it replaced.

Please check the vents and try to clear them up if choked. Moreover please check the fan underneath your laptop that it is functioning properly. If not get it replaced and if it is working properly try connecting one cooling stand or a docking station with cooling functionality in it.

I have and ACER aspire 5738G (1yr old now), everytime im playing games, the left portion, exactly below the power button is getting very hot after 30 mins, then my laptop will shutdown.

Games will cause more heat as they put your components under more stress. Make sure that you are not blocking any of the vents and also, check them for dust. Give them a vacuum if they are dusty. It sounds like there is not enough ventilation, which causes your computer to overheat and then to shut down.

Monitor shuts off randomly!

1. This is main-board related. You either have a Micro controller or power supply issue that needs to be address by a tech. Shut down is direct relation to a circuit component in the start up that has failed.

My acer aspire 5738g keeps shutting down when i'm

Sorry you are having troule. It sounds as if it is getting hot and protecting itself. Games are very cpu intensive and this causes heat. The cheap fix is an under cooler. This is a cooler the laptop sits on. I have seen them at Best Buy for under $20

Toshiba a30 laptop over heating problems

It is obvious that your computer shutdown because it is overheating. try to get a chill mat to place it under computer. you said that it does not shut down when is on battery??? do you play games when is on battery?....computers normally overheat during large processing tasks such us playing video games. Try to fans clear do not place your laptop ontop of your bed or anything that will obstruct the fan under computer.

See if that works

best luck

Laptop turns off

Sounds like a heat issue. All laptops have a way of dispelling heat from the processor. First, see if you're using it in an environment where these ports are being covered up. Second, if your laptop has cooling fans, see if theyre working (look on the bottom or sides depending on the model). Check for dust buildup on or around the heat vents or fans. If dusty, invest in a can of compressed air, and blow the dust out of the vents and/or fans. Finally, many computer stores carry cooling lappads. You can try one of those and see if your issue resolves.
