Whirlpool oven has a mind of it's own at times. control panel starts beeping at intermittent times. If it's intolerable we flip the breaker. It might not start beeping again for a couple of days.

Hi Kathy, It sounds like you have a very sad and lonely little oven! I think that you might have to get the nice doctor man out to it! Seriously, unless it's throwing up an error code, I can't think of any other solution. Just make sure that you get an idea of call out charges before engaging anyone.

yes you can kill the power and lock out the box with a pad lock for safety. the panel is attached by screws usually on the bottom of panel. lower and seperate the control panel ribbon from the erc (electronic range control). without removing any other components leave ribbon loose and replace panel. turn power back on. if the beeping does not recur, the control panel probably has a stuck key. if it does resume the erc is faulty

When this code appears and display is going blank too, it is always the control board. The only option is to buy a new one or get it repaired. It can be fixed quickly and reliably. www.fixyourboard.com

SOURCE: Whirlpool Gold double oven -

I was just looking over a manual for a late model double oven. Their is a thermal limit going into the controls that will open if the temp rises enough to harm the controls. They look like this one.2605a73.jpg That kills all power to the control and you will see nothing on the display.

This manual will give an idea where to look:

Electronic control panel went blank and oven is beeping

The first thing I would do, because it is an "electronic" control panel is to unplug your stove, wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Your Control panel may just need a reset and reboot.
If it is difficult to get to your plug-in, then go to your household breaker-panel box, and flip the switch for your stove to the off position for at least 30 seconds, then switch back to on. ...That's the same as uplugging and plugging back in at the wall.

Hope this helped hun ;-)

Troubleshooting power issues for whirlpool accubake double oven

Nothing Works, or the Oven / Range / Stovetop Works Only At Certain Times:

1.Home breaker flipped or the fuse blown?Possibly an electrical surge has flipped the breaker. Check your breaker or fuse box and replace or reset as necessary.
2.Power cord plugged in?Grab the plug and wiggle to determine a good connection.
3.Power cord damage?Damaged rubber with wires showing through or the wire is being pinched can cause issues. Electrical tape is acceptable for covering damaged wires.
4.Aclicking sound could be something wrong with a relay. Check for any loose connections around the main control board on your oven. The click you hear is a relay losing power and switching back on. If the clock resets then something is causing power interruptions to the board.
5.Even a bad relay door switch will hinder your oven from operating.

If your oven has internal fuses, a wiring or component problem could have caused a fuse to blow. A blown fuse is an indication that a component has shorted or failed, and the problem will need to be corrected. Most ovens that use fuses will have an indication of the circuits that are affected by a particular fuse. If an oven fuse has blown, then you should inspect the oven element and the associated wiring to determine the cause before replacing the fuse.

Whirlpool Double Oven RBD305 Display doesn't show, oven wont work

Most definitely a bad control board and/or soldered components. (The part about cutting power to the oven was a dead giveaway)
There are low and high temperature solders, but usually solder melts at 370° F. If the oven is improperly insulated or ventilated you will have continued heat stress to the control board.

Control panel for oven functions has gone blank with occasional beeping sounds

The control panel may have a power issue. Replacing the board fixed my problem. It looks like 4 resistors and a ZD1 diode heat up and fail. The U1 chip could also be a problem. If you replace the controller it will cost around $225. Be careful of the key pad ribbon cable. They break easily. Another $186. Good luck.

Display is black

I had a very similar problem (I was observing the error & fault code "E6 F2", but not always.  I did always have the beeps.) on a Whirlpool RBD305PDS14 double oven built-in.  I spent time today (Oct. 21) and traced the problem down to the keypad flexible cable that connects the keypad to the oven control panel.

[ALWAYS WORK WITH POWER OFF!!!]

I cleaned the flexible cable contacts that seat into the board mounted female connector on the control panel board using a Q tip and isoproply alcohol.  This did the trick.

(Elsewhere in this forum, there is information on how to remove the oven control panel and gain access to the control assembly.  I posted this information - keywords in subject: Whirlpool RBD305PDS14.)
