Please check on the power button if the Led is steady amber it requires motherboard replacement. If the light is steady green check the cables in the system that they are connected properly.

I would say it is in the Hibernation Mode To get it out of this mode you need to go to your Control Panel, open "POWER OPTION'S" and deselect the Hibernation mode then reboot.

Dell dimension 9200 no display

Try another monitor and see if you get a display. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker. If the borrowed monitor does the same thing and shows no display, then your video card in the computer is bad. If the borrowed monitor displays things, then your original monitor is bad.

Your CPU may be overheating. Open the case, vacuum all the dust and
inspect all fans: Power Supply, CPU, Chipset, Graphic Card etc...
If all are operational then maybe the CPU heatsink compound (grease)
has dried up over times, and need a fresh new replacement.
Download a copy of Real Temp 3.60 and run it continously to monitor
the CPU temperature in real time.

My dell dimention 9200 makes a buzzing noise and no show on monit

Sounds like its just 1 of the fans inside the case needs replacing or possibly the fan inside the power supply. These dont cost much and are easy to replace.

A beep code of 3-3-4= Video Memory(RAM) Test Failure that would explain why you get nothing on your screen the first thing you would need to do is disconnect your monitor and try it on another computer. if it works fine then the problem is your video card. If that the case and the video card is intergrated with the motherboard, you will need to repalce the motherboard --- Sorry-- Please vote me a 10 when this works

It seems like it that you have a faulty power supply. Also the motherboard may be damged aswell, But most probably you can fix your PC by changing the power supply.

Dell Dimension 9200 keeps shutting down and won't start up

the key issue on the uncommanded shutdown is the POWER LED. If upon shutdown, the power LED Flashes AMBER, then the power supply is suspect.

If no flashing amber indication, then the next think I check is the heatsink (Processor overheating) remove, clean and apply arctic Silver heat transfer paste, see if the issuje goes away

Last but not least if the system is failing to boot, and displays a 3 4 diag LED code, then you may have a RAM module that is bad or may just need reseating. Running diags off of the Rersoujrce CD is something to look at too
