A thick blue horizontal line appeared in my LCD screen and won't go away. I can still take pictures and they print out fine, but how can I get rid of the blue line?

This is probably a problem with your LCD monitor or the connections to it. Does the blue line show in all situations such as record, playback, and menu mode?
Test your monitor by plugging into your camera the TV cord that came with your camera. Connect to a TV and use it as a monitor when your camera is on. be sure to switch to the TV to channel three or video to get a picture. Check the different screen modes: record, play, and menu. If the blue line does not appear on the TV then there is damage to your monitor or its connections. My guess is you won't see the blue line on your TV since you get good prints. If you are on warranty, get it fixed. Otherwise, you have a choice between paying for a repair or living with it. Good luck.

LCD panel needs replacing - this is the classic case of detached screen ribbon, which unfortunately is not repairable without silicon printing equipment which costs thousands. Also check playback on another device (ie streamed through your PC) to make sure the heads haven't become misaligned.

Do you by chance have any speakers sitting on top of the tv or right beside it. Speakers are unshielded and will cause this effect.

Screen goes black.

It's a hardware defect. you can't repair that. if your monitor in under warranty you can go for repair.
or repair it through any good local vendor.

Double print and curve screen

this is an indication of convergence problem. from your description the curved screen indicates complete loss of covergence. First question is in setup menu do you have the convergence option? if no then it will be the fl231 fuse problem. common to these set and if you can solder. its not a difficult repair. if you do have the option. then it can be any or all of three cuircit boards. let me know and i will do my best to see if i can help you fix it

Red & green lines

Sounds like you have hardware failure in the convergence circuit. Some combination of the IC's, fuses, and/or resistors has failed. Repair cost is $250-$400 parts & labor
