My dryer turns off with 30 mins left and the takes a while before u can start it again any hints as to what the problem is would be greatly appreciated model 5030D

Some dryers with a moisture sensor can be eiter have a defective moisture sensor or it called be block with fabric softener.

Outside of this, A friction problem or a drive motor problem could be causing the motor to overheat and shut down. With the dryer empty, try rotating the drum in a counterclockwise direction. Although you should feel some resistance of the belt and motor pulley, it should spin without excessive force needed. If you detect rubbing or unusual resistance, then a friction problem is likely causing the motor to overheat. Excessive lint in the bottom of the dryer cabinet around the motor could also cause it to overheat and stop. A failed drive motor could also be causing your problem

If you do not feel comfortable in accessing the internal dryer components, then I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair this failure. Without a model number I am unable to provide you with specific information. For further assistance resubmit your question with the complete model number of your dryer.

I wired up my replacement fasco motor for my condenser fan and it ran for maybe 30 mins and shut down. It was very hot and wouldn't come back on until it cooled down. I wired it like the dealer told me,...

Tough to answer without more information. Most likely the speed of the motor is too fast for the fan which causes unnecessary load on the motor causing it to overheat and shut off. Likewise the motor could be underpowered causing the same thing. I would bank on speed. The squirrel cage blowers have speed limits and won't go any faster regardless of how fast the motor can turn. Check the speed rating on the old motor and compair it to the new one.

My Frigidaire electric dryer GLER341AS2. The

Does it shut down completely? If it does, and the timer ceases turning, your problem may be a blocked vent pipe or Lint buildup.Your high limit switch is designed to kill power to your heater coils and sometimes the motor in case of overheat.

The high limit just shuts off the heating element, so that wouldn't determine if the dryer runs or not. normally if the dryer wont turn on after you have run it then will restart after it has been off for a while it usually means that the motor is overheating and what is happenning is the motor has a limit switch on it that shuts the motor off when it gets too hot. It is a resettable switch, so when the motor cools down it will restart. The only way that the motor overheats that much is either a bad motor or something causing enough drag on the motor to cause it to overheat but normally if something is causing drag on the motor, such as a bad roller, blower wheel ect., the belt ususally takes a dive too. All that to answer your original question about the high limit, most likely not.
