What is the corrective action for error U052?

This message appeared during a print run! I've reinstalled the print head to no avail.

A lot of Canon printer's users come across with the error message, "U052 This type of print head is incorrect." It is a very common error on Canon printers and is fairly easy to troubleshoot.

There are two different scenarios related to U052 kind of error message.One is where the print head is not installed at all and then it is giving the 'U052 This type of print head is incorrect' error message.

And, the second scenario is where the print head is installed nut it is not functioning properly or probably not working at all. The below section will show step by step troubleshooting of both the scenarios.

Canon MP660 U052 Error

Remove and reinstall your Printer Cartridges. Else, you will need to take your printer to a Canon Service Center to have them replace your faulty Print Head / Temperature Sensor that is causing the U052 Error.

How do I deal with the Check Cartridge U052 message

Solution 1:

Remove and replace the cartridges.

Solution 2:

Insert new cartridges

Solution 3:

Reseat the print head to correct print issues or clear an error.

Solution 4:

The print head is broken and it must be changed by a new one.

Hi, I refilled cartridge CLI-526M fromCanon Prixma MG5250 and I have the error U130. How can I resolve the error to reprint? Thanks.

Issue

If an error message is displayed on the LCD, take the corresponding action described below.

Cause
The following ink may have run out. Replacing the ink tank is recommended. U041 Print head is not installed.Install the print head.U051 / The type of print head is incorrect.Install the correct print head.U052 Some ink tanks are not installed in place. U072 / More than one ink tank of the following color is installed. U071 The remaining level of the following ink cannot be correctly detected. Replace the ink tank. U130 The following ink tank cannot be recognized. U043 U140 U150 The following ink has run out. Replace the ink tank. U163 There are no photos in memory card Contact the support center or service center for ink absorber replacement. Press OK to continue printing Ink absorber full. Dear dgthorpe,
This indicates that printhead of your printer faulty. Commonly this problem come with short circuitry problem in printhead so it may harm logic board and carriage unit too. I suggest you to try checking with another printhead first.

Got the error U052.....with incorrect print head. Has been printing just before. How do I remove the printhead and place it back in. My printer is Canon MP610

It's most likely an after market cartridge. Try a diiferent one or get the OEM.
