I have done everything i can think of and have a reasonable technological aptitude. my epson stylus photo 830U printer prints fine but only if its attached to the mac's usb port - the second laptop will print wirelessly from here too.
when i attach the printer to the USB port of the DLINK router (and the green lights are on) i cant get the router to find the printer - no matter what i do ... the manual is no help at all and i have been through etherenet/bluetooth/rendeavous and every option available .... i phoned DLINK but no one is prepared to step me through the possibilities - they fob me off to mac !
aaargh .... hope you can help >>> Gina

SOURCE: My Hp C6180 won't seem to recognise the top photo tray
I contacted HP free of charge via their instant support which works like MSN and they talked me through it step by step "it was a little irritating when they kept going off line!! any you have just typed the equivalent of war and peace"!! I still need to contact them again at a different department, as they think it's a Mac software problem.
SOURCE: I have an Epson Stylus Photo R220 Printer connected to a linksys print server, but
Well, The first thing you should do is to try to test of the print server is properly connecting to the printer. Check the linksys printserver manual and look for how to print a status sheel from the print server. Once done, get the IP address of the print server. Go to your laptop and navigate to control panel/printer. See if you have the driver installed or download the Vista Drivers from Epson.com/support. During the installation, it will ask you what connection type your computer uses. cancel out of the installation or choose LPT1 as the port. Once done, go back to control panel/printers.Right click the R220 icon and navigate to properties. Select ports after that and add a new port. Select Standard TCP IP port after that. Once done, the wizard will appear. Input the IP address of the printer and finish the wizard. you should be good to go after this.
SOURCE: Urgent: red light error on Epson Stylus CX3650
It appears that this is an overseas model (at least for those here in the US that is) as far as I can tell. This will use the same drivers as the CX3600 model though. Depending on how long you have had this and how often you use it, you may have a waste ink reset situation. While I have not had any personal experience with this model, there are several references on the internet on how to do a reset. There is even an "SSC Service Utility" you can search for that lists this printer as being supported. It cannot reset the ink counters but it may reset the waste.
Good luck, I hope this is of some help.
SOURCE: Epson Stylus Photo R800 (Manual Feed) missing option
I found this answer on Apple.com support discussions. Worked for me. There is more information available on the discussion, but this was enough to fix my problem.
Try Page Setup. Select to format for your printer. The choices for different all media should now be available under the Paper Size. This is a change from previous practice of creating a separate printer for each type of media.

SOURCE: epson stylus pohoto 830u paper feed
I'm afraid this series of printer (810 -830) doesn't handle heavy photo paper well - which is a bit strange for a so-called photo printer. If you hold each sheet and help it to feed it will work. But ...... for goodness sake. Your best bet is to sell it on e-bay and buy something that will handle heavy paper.
