I have a Hampton Bay sidewinder Model# 34889 ever since we got it, the fan magically turns off on its own and the light goes of and on as well on its own. What can I do to fix this???

The fan blades are somehow hitting the light kit. The light kit was also spinning around in circles when the fan was turned on. Any ideas of where we went wrong??? I so appreciate the help!

Are u able to take a close-up picture and post it with this same question? Sometimes a picture will help solve it!

You called customer care about a Hampton Bay & they sent you Minka Aire??? Hampton Bay is a store brand for Home Depot. If The fan came with a remote, you probably need the one for your fan.

Contact "King of Fans" (kingoffans.com) in Ft. Lauderdale at 800-330-3267. They made or make Hampton Bay fans. I just ordered an arm for mine. Have your UPC number handy.

Can't remove the globe did the recommended push upward and turned counter clockwise globe didn't come out. It just goes n circles won't come out of

try wiggling back and forth if you do get it off put a little vasiline on the thread GLASS WARE GLOVES

How do I get the light cover off to replace bulbs? I have a sidewinder

While applying light upward pressure evenly around the outter edge of the lens turn counter clockwise about an eighth of a turn. then lens should come straight down. if lens is siezed some light tapping around the edge of the lens should free it up.

go to Home Depot, not only do they have replacements, but they can order for you what you need. Hampton Bay is the Home Depot brand.

I have the same problem and I notice that the fan goes in reverse when I turn off and back on. I have not found the solution yet but I would say that the remote has factory defects.

No middle speed.

Replacing the pull switch (reostat) should have solved your problem. Try going to the internet at www.google.com and in the Google search box enter "Hampton Bay Fans homepage". If any of these suggestions have been helpfull, please rate my solution. Thanks D. Lange

Change the frequency settings in the transmitter & receiver. You probably have a neighbor with a fan set to the same frequencies as you now have.

The transmitter would be the part in your hand & the receiver is usually in the ceiling bracket under the canopy cover.
