Not sure if you're asking about buying a premade mount or wanting to build something yourself. If you go to most big name box stores i.e. Wal Mart, Sears, Target, etc.they sell universal flat screen t.v. wall mounts. They fit most or all t.v.'s and go by the size. If you have a 50" then you just find one that is used for 42" to 54" televisions (this is just an example). Also you can research online or try stores like Best Buy and look for one that is made for your specific brand and model. These are probably more expensive, but they will fit your's exactly with out adjustments. If you mount it yourself you will need a few tools such as a stud finder, drill, probably a wrench for the lag bolts, etc. Check out videos online to help understand how to mount the hardware if the directions are not clear.

I don't know the model in particular, but most of these sets can be wall mounted if you have the screw holes for the mounting plate in the back of the set.
What I believe the tech was telling you would be that it is best to not wall mount the set. The reason is that we found that we have been seeing a higher failure rate from sets being wall mounted. This is because the surface of the wall reflects some heat back in the set, and thus causes it to internaly run warmer. This is also the same from running a set inside of a cabinet. The complete surface area behind the set being very close to the wall surface blocks cooler air circulation. It is best to run these sets on a stand that is out in the opened at least 1 foot away from any wall surface.

it can be mounted, they sell a universal hanging kit, you will see 4 holes in the back of the tv, thats where you put the screws for the mount

Wall mounts use standard mounting configurations, you should be able to get a wall mount for a 32" flat panel TV at any local electronics store.

Just check the weight and size restriction on the wall mount. As long as the weight and size specs of the TV fall within those allotted by the wall mount, you should be fine.
