I am looking for a manual for my White treadle machine, last patent date 1890. It has a shuttle bobbin. The serial number is 1566383. Thank you.

Have you tried e bay or an antique sewing machine collectors group. I know the type of machine you mean because I use to work on one with an electric motor many years ago.

The hand wheel has become so stiff it wont sew....however, when I put it in bobbin loading position, its normal. Any thoughts?

If your machine was serviced a year ago and you use it extensively, it is probably due for another service. Recommendations are once a year.

Consult your owner's manual. Sounds like it probably needs cleaning and oiling, especially since you said you use it a lot. They do need some periodic TLC to keep them operating well. Mechanical machines, especially, do need maintenance. (You wouldn't run your car without oil.) The fact that the motor is straining but things are not moving is a good indication that it needs some attention. Do NOT run the motor if the machine is frozen--you could burn up the motor or cause other damage!

I was sewing a seam machine was working fine after sewing for 5 minutes then the motor stopped.

the motor needs to be checked to see if it went out.
it's not good for a sewing machine to sit up for years. and a cloth cover needs to be used to keep the dust off the machine.

Feeding foot does not work

Unfortunatly warranty doesnt apply to you. Warranty on these machine are 2 years for parts and labour. The motor's warranty is 3 years.

Simplicity Serger SL370 - Motor runs but it doesn't sew

Years ago I had the same problem with a sewing machine. Took it to a repair shop which cost me $25.00 for the fix. Asked the repairman what he did and was told that he exposed the bottom of the machine and sprayed the entire area twice with wd-40.

Download a Janome (Jem 639) sewing machine manual

Just today  i got out my little janome i bought years ago and it is this model.  There was no "manual" with the machine.  All that came with it is a large 20X14 two sided print out.  I can scan and send this to you with an email address.

I need to know where i can find a bobbin for a janome sewing machine in the philadelphia area

After I bought my machine years ago, I bought a whole bunch of bobbins on Ebay! Cheap, too. And I have never come close to using all of them. That's a great place to start. Good luck.
