The windows files are corrupted or the hard drive has issues, load cd installation disc if available, if that fails have the hardware checked for possible replacement.

try to change your cmos battery,and first boot your hardrive,and set your time and date properly then save your settings take a look if your settings will be save.if yes,that means your cmos battery is the isue.

Attach a screen to your laptop before firing up

2nd option hit the del button when firing up and reset the bios to factory defaults

Windows logo comes on and then followed by a black screen and tried safe mode/VGA and still the same and the cursor is moving about the black sreen and nothing else-- could you help it's windows...

Try pressing the F8 key at the startup (after power-on and before the logo comes up).
Choose "Fail-safe" mode using the arrow keys on your keyboard and press enter twice.

When windows is in failsafe mode there is a number of ways you can fix the problem.

Try this:
Open "My computer", right-click on your harddrive and choose "properties"
From there scan the drive for errors (mark the 2repair automatically") and fix them.
Reboot the pc...

you have disabled the vga adapter of your system
now start your system in a safe mode by pressing f8 continuosly during the booting, then restore your computer to the back date

i dont think that you can edit you own pics it depens on what os you are running . is the splash screen your screen saver or what more info on the spash screen
