That error points to a fuser problem. Replace the fuser and see if that works for you. If not then you need some add'l parts and a service tech to install and repair it for you. Hope this helps.
That is in fact a bad fuser which must be replaced (part# 126N00321 for 110v). Replacing it is simple, open the right door and remove the 4 screws that hold in the fuser. Make sure the machine has been off for awhile because the fuser my be hot. Here is a video that shows you how. Hope it helps, and thanks for using fixya

Heater quarz lamp is blown/cut. You can access it by removing the right side back vertical panel, removing a connector and four screws. You can pull the whole fuser assembly out very easily. There is no spare part for the lamp itself. You must replace the fuser unit (which contains the lamp + thermostat).
Xerox 5225 keeps showing error 124-373 and cant one to enter into set-up or status mode. How to correct this error?.I have jobs to copy for urgent meeting soon.your email is needed
On this model, the fuser assembley is mounted to the machine mounts, two of them inboard and outboard.
If the fuser gear is not cracked, this fuser is driven by the white small drive gear on the machine.
This rests close the drive gear. Sometimes you can hear a thumping noise which is coming from the gear skipping over the fuser gear.
This gear needs to be replaced a very involved service process.
Call Xerox for further repair if this is the case. Also behind this gear are many other gears that can cause this same problem. Very involved and time-extensive to repair even for a trained Xerox technition.
That is a fuser not reachine tremperature fault.
Most likely the fuser will need replaced.
Go to google and type in "the parts drop".
Call Britt and he should be able to fix you up with that part for a fair price.Just tell him the model number and code.
