You might try GE customer service and ask where to locate the defrost timer,since that sounds like your problem.

Your model doesn't have a defrost timer. Everything is controlled by the main motherboard in the back. The ONLY way to get an acurate diagnosis is to call GE FActory Service at 1-800-432-2737. There is proprietary software and the tech will be able to plug in a laptop to your refer to find out what is going on. No other companies have this or have access to this software. By the way that deforst thermostat you think you found isn't what you think it is. It looks like one but it only a saftey device. Trust me...!

Turn your power cable/connection cable over. You are connecting it wrong. When connecting it to the back of the SkyCaddie, make sure the cord it going down towards the battery, not up. That will fix your issue.

Bad news. GE is still using GEA part No: 200D4860G015 Mother board in their Refrigerators. Our Fridge is three years old and has now STBed. $391 later and it's a peice of junk. Good luck with your GE "We take good things from life..." I wouldn't buy a bulb from GE! Home Depot should stop selling ****.......The 800-386-1215 GE CS line was useless. My refrigerator SE# was not included in the recall program, but the board was? Good thing they don't build engines....Oh wait, they do. Jet engines and nuclear power engines.....We all could be in trouble if thay can't even get a refrigerator to work properly........
