GE refrigerators and a lot of new appliances have a mode called sabbath mode or SA 66. it turns off your lights and advanced features for the weekend. To exit sabbath mode push and hold light and lock for 3 seconds, or for some models it's light and alarm for 3 seconds.

Changed water filter, now no water coming out of dispenser and not making ice making ice

It's possible it was installed improperly.... try removing it and re-installing. May have a filter that is clogged... only way to determine this is to replace it with another new one.

Water not working but still makes ice

At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , turn on the dispensor light for several hours , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig . GE has a dispensor heater pt. # WR49X10173 to keep this from happening again ( comes with instructions ) .

Water dispensor stoppedworking

If the light and ice dispenser on the front panel works and If your fridge is 4 years old or older, the insulation in the freezer door has most likely deteriorated and the water in the tube feeding the water dispenser has probably frozen. Open the freezer door, put a blanket over the food to keep it from defrosting, and use a blow dryer to defrost the door. Blow the hot air on the flat panel inside the door (the backside of the water dispenser). Close the door about every 5 minutes to check to see if the water works. Once the water begins to flow, you have successfully defrosted the ice in the tube. Defrosting the door works for about 12 hours until it freezes again. To solve this problem, I placed a 10" weedeater line up thorugh the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8 of an inch sticking out. When the line freezes again, pull out the weedeater line, dispense water to free the ice, and then reinsert the weadeater line. I keep the line in all the time...it works great! If the light or ice dispenser do not work, the problem may be *********** board.

In door ice dispenser

Remove the top freezer door hinge cover , and disconnect the plug there . This will remove the power to the door . Inside the lower part of the dispensor cover , inside the dispensor area , between the grill and the actual dispensor bottom , use a small screwdriver in the crease , and push down and inward carefully , to release the 2 plastic clips , mounted on the bottom of the dispensor cover . 1 clip on each side at the bottom . Then lift the cover straight up ( not outward ) , to release the top plastic clips Then unplug the receptical to the dispensor cover . You should see 4 screws holding the dispensor caseing , which will need to be removed , for access to the controls .

GE PSS25MGMA Crushed ice only, nothing else will select on panel.

Yes , replace the main board . Part number WR55X10656 . There is only partial communication between the main board and the dispensor board . This main board , is behind the 8 " X 10 " panel , on the back of the refrig . Do not replace the dispensor board . I have never come across a bad dispensor board yet . Always a first time though .

GE Profile Artica - Water & ice dispensor not working.

This could be as simple as the door switch or as complex as the dispenser control board. I would try the door switch first. When the door is close it turns on the dispenser controls. If the contact is defective in the door/light switch then this happens. Unplug remove the door switch and mark wire locations. 1 Powers the lights and the other powers the dispenser. and one is the power itself. Sea Breeze

Water dispensor does not dispense water. Ice maker works.

you have prime the system air out of the water lines this is easy to do
put a glass big enough to cover water dispensor outlet cause its going to project water out at you press and hold button till water starts to run smooth
these fridges will spit water at you when you prime the system at first cause theres air blockage in lines
