Where can i find replacement parts like a back for the Accutron Breckenridge26B29

It's an old accutron 214- manufactured 1967. Of course it depends on condition,but the 214 Accutron is very popular and even not working should bring around $50.00 if it is complete, no missing parts. It could possibly bring $75 or more.

Recently lost the 4 screws that fastens the back plate of my Accutron Breckenridge 26B29. Am looking for wrist band extensions for this watch too. I tried Bulova but they were of no help. Any ideas of where I could find these parts or even just the dimensions of the screws?

try replacing i mean put in a new battery in it..
OR
open it if you can or take it to the nearby watch shop and tell them to clean it- sometimes dust sticks in and it hangs...

With a watch of this age (assuming that it has been well used), it is likely that there is terminal were on the gears.

If you look closely at the mechanism when it has stopped, I would expect to seen a tooth that is more worn than the ones either side of it, causing the adjacent gear to miss engagement.

Comparison of teeth my be subjective, as I would expect many of the teeth to be showing wear.

I suspect that the only long term solution is a complete overhaul, if Accutron have the appropriate parts still in production.

Bulova Accutron watches were originally designed to use Mercury batteries of 1.35 volts, since they were the only type manufactured then. The pic (left) shows an original 214 all-metal "top hat" cell, before 387 cells with the plastic spacer became available. In most areas of the world, mercury-based batteries are no longer available, due to environmental concerns related to the safe disposal of them. The Tuning Fork watches manufactured by Esa (e.g the f300 Omega) were designed to run on either mercury or silver oxide batteries without any adjustment, provided the last repairer to work on the watch set up the index mechanism according to factory specifications.
It is strongly recommended that you do not replace batteries yourself, as special tools are required to open the watch case without damaging it. The only exception to this is the Accutron 214 model, which has a small battery hatch on the back.

mcdevito75 here, Bulova Accutron, nice watch, of course there are many, many factors that go into the value of any watch, depending on Maker, Model, Condition of the watch also. I would figure your Bulova Accutron is in the area of $125.00------- $200.00 range. Your best bet is to find a jeweler in your area or an appraiser, even online for the latest value of your watch.

No need to go to the shop as you can reset chrono hand yourself. Read manual and follow instructions. If you don't have manual, try this: Pull out crown and then push the button and hold it. If this does not work, try push and hold the button whilst other one is held pushed. In short terms - try to use as many different combinations as you can and you will find which way is right.

i have the same watch it needs a cleaning by a watch maker not jewler hope this helps
