Question about Ezonics EZVideo Chat Kit Webcam

Webcam troubleshooting I can see myself and take pix , but other computers canot see my webcam and i cannot see others....Only see myself??? Everytime i try , it says network error?? Can you help me ? Thanks. Wayne

    please help me, it was working and now no one can see me, just a black screen.

    it opens and works on my computer but the picture freezes on everyone elses computer

Have you indtslled Skype or s messenger to communicate with them. See info below.

Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

  1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
  4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

C. Windows Live Messenger:

  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: You audio and video should work. Enjoy.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

Cant hear myself on webcam


go to the control panel and and see the sound open and adjust the microphone for record and make test, if work is o.k. If not you must restore the computer to some date was working before.
Or your need reinstall the driver audio. coming with your CD, or software laptop in this HP Compaq.

Webcam being used by some other unknown software.


You will have to reinstall the Camera Driver. Uninstall the Camera Driver from the Device Manager and then reinstall it. Also, install MSN once you reinstall the Camera Driver.

I have an emprex g40 webcam and windows vista. I cannot get it to work. I have installed the cd, plugged in the camera, and installed the driver. I can see a very poor pix of myself on my desktop, but...


Your version of windows and the driver that you install has to match each other. The CD may not contain the corrct driver. Look at your EMPREX support website below and download and install the driver that matches you windows or other version. If a driver is not available for you version then your camera wil not work with you computers OS.

Logitech Quickcam Fusion!


Instead of plugging the webcam in after the computer is running, I plugged in while it was shut down. The first time the computer booted with the webcam attached it took approximatly 2 minutes longer to boot, but every boot after has been as fast as ever. Webcam works great now!
