"PF" stands for Power Failure. There should be a reset procedure in your user's manual. I cannot specify this since you don't give the manufacturer or model number of your oven.

PF code

Depending on manufacturer and model, PF can mean a number of things. On my stove, PF simply indicates "Power Fail" Yours may, too. You can clear this generally by updating the clock display. To verify that PF does indeed mean power fail for your stove, simply shut off the power for the cicuit than supplies the stove. This can be either circuit breaker or fuses. Turn the power back on after 5 or more seconds and if it displays PF again, you know it means power fail.

Otherwise, please provide the manufacturer and model of you stove for an answer.

Good luck!

Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,

Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

GE JBP45G oven display module keeps on showing ''PF'', whether I turn oven on or off.Have to constantly reset clock to make the ''PF'' message dissapear. My broiler element is not working, but why is ''PF''...

Hi,

I can easily explain the "PF". It means your EOC or electronic oven control/timer is losing power for some reason, hence the "PF", for power failure.

I`d suspect the control itself is defective or at fault as they have built in transformer`s that can become faulty.

I would first insure your power supply cord is secure and in good condition in the wall or you don`t have loose wires going to the timer.

Hope that help`s move you forward, let me know if I can assist you further.

Good luck.

Hi,
PF means power failure.
This has caused a power outage to the oven.
