Sounds like you will need to perform the calibration procedure. when you access the menu system go to advanced menu, the password is 9999, use the keys to navigate to manual calibration and follow the instructions. when it states load backing this is refering to backing paper, so remove the labels from the backing and place in label path. hope this helps
