Thanks, but I'm unable to find a bootdisk. I've done a system Restore from the Safe Mode and creates an auto restart where the same error occurs.

Restoring the registry is supposed to fix it. With your computer off put your bootdisk in and choose start with cd-rom support. When you get to the 'A' prompt, type 'scanreg /restore' enter. Now choose a date to restore from before the problem. Now restart your computer.

Chassis Intruded, Fatal Error...System Halted

you need to go into the bios of your pc.....usually pressing the delete key when you see the first logo screen after booting up....look for a section that relates to errors and what the bios is supposed to do when it encounters an error.
i.e if you see a line in the bios that says "halt on all errors" disable it and when you next boot up the bios will not stall.

Hi i'm A ojt technician of computer and I encomtered the problem of computer the problem is system halted... what is the possible deffect of that problem. . .

it cannot find COMMAND.COM

Explanation: When you boot up DOS, you are placed at what is commonly called the "C: prompt", where you can type commands or run programs. The part of DOS that reads what you type and executes commands is called the command interpreter, which is stored in the file "COMMAND.COM". This interpreter is loaded when you start the system or when you start an MS-DOS session under Windows 95, and is also reloaded in some cases when you finish running a program. In this case, the system was unable to find COMMAND.COM and therefore halted the system.

try this
  • Make sure that COMMAND.COM is in the C:\ root directory, or if it somewhere else, that there is a line in AUTOEXEC.BAT that reads "COMSPEC=X:\PATH" where "X:\PATH" is wherever COMMAND.COM resides.
  • Edit the PATH command in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, if you are trying to run a command in another directory that should be accessible from anywhere.
please send me a feed back if this works out thnk you.

Perpetual windows protection error loop!

use a win ME startup floppy disc. get to DOS and run scandisc.exe on c drive. if still no progress afterward, then repeat but this time, load cd driver and then re-install windows.

Boot up failure

Fixed disc is refering to your hardrive and the fact that it has been unable to read a bad sector on your hard drive, that sector probably being where the boot.ini file resides. You will have to get the drive checked out, by means of an 2.5" ide to usb powered connector, which will connect to another pc's usb port to enable you to perform a disk check and a repair if possible of the bad sectors, or take to a local repairer where they should have the required adapters.
