Starting problem when restart my i mate jama pocket pc with my memory card insert it take more than 30 mins to start.....help me please someone....i bought a new 1gb microsd...

Hi, Firstly do one thing take a backup of the existing Data. This can be done from Start=>programs=>Xbackup=> choose the desired data i.e. All data or Contacts & appointments. (I forcefully recommend to take Contacts & Appointments) It will take 5 to 10 Min. Remove the Menory Card.After this takes palce, with help of your Stylus press the Reset Button (found at the down end of ur PPC next to the Handsfree Jack.) The Phone will restart with the Factory Settings & will take time. Now after the PPC completely boots check the performance. after scan your memory card with the help of a Personal computer antivirus software & only then restore the data in the similar fashion from the Xbackup utility=>restore.
Note : After restoring the data if the same problem occurs then please again reset the phone & donot Restore your data as it may be corrupt.

Hi.
There are 3 ways:

1) Start->Settings->System tab->Master Clerar->1234->ok

2)Press soft-reset for 15sec.

3)Remove the battery, Simultaneously hold volume(-) button and red hangup button, while still holding those keys, insert the battery and wait for the led to go out, release keys and device will hard reset. Also there is a video on youtube which shows it to you.

Imate jama insert sim card problem
Sometimes carbon takes place on sim card jeck,
so for cleaning that with the help of a toothbrush & some petrol clean that,
now insert sim card.
It will start working.

How to install OS in i mate jama
u can get the rom i used here:

The procedure is simple...
1. Format a memory card (micro sd) using FAT 16, use a card of 512 mb or less and atleast 64 mb since JAMA duznt support 1 Gb cards....
2. Extract the contents of the above mentioned rom to the memory card
3. Remove the simcard, insert the memory card back and then insert the battery
4. It will automatically upgrade, it will take sometime so relax
MAKE SURE TO BACKUP ANY IMPORTANT DATA!
and yes wm6 works and feels far better than the preinstalled wm5 so go ahead!

hard rest your pda usnig camara+recording button+power button and reset it with stylus....but you will loose your data stored on phone.....bet data on storage card will be saved........
