On the back of the wireless router will be a little black button some can be hard to see but they all have one somewhere pressing this button for 5 seconds will force the wireless router to reset and remove all password and configurations that was set by the user of yourself after this has been reset you will need to log into your wireless router by either looking at the faint writting http://routerloging.net
or something similar to this or by the ip "internet Protocols" 192.168.1.100 and re-setting up the encryptions and security along with the passphrase for the wireless
I am afraid that there are incompatibilities between speedstream 6520 and Voip service. I will need to look at this a little bit further but I think the only workaround is a firmware update. (modified version of the original)
not possible to retrieve a password! that's why they are secure... if you have your ISP ADSL setup details you can reset the router to factory default and reprogram it from scratch, or call their help desk BEFORE you do it and ask them to email you the connection details before you start. then WRITE the password on a label and stick it to the router.
if the pwr light is on, its not a pwr issue.
if the ethernet light is on you should be recieving a signal.
sometimes you may need to reset your modem and refresh everything in the case of pwr outages or unplugging etc.
i suggest calling your internet service provider and having them walk you through a manual reset of your modem
Only way is to reset the Router to Factry settings.
Press the reset button on the bottom. But it has two modes one is just a reboot and the other is return to factory settings.a short press reboots it, if you hold it down for a few seconds until the power LED flashes between green and red, then release it, that will factory default it.Then you will be able to login.
um not sure, but if you have the disk that came with your router run it and fill in the wireless wizard. Also, on my 6520 the "wireless" led doesnt light up unless i have a device connected that is wireless. Your laptop may be incorrectly setup
