LCD screen showing 'rubbish' - tried to reset language but I can't see what I am doing on LCD screen. Any ideas?

Can't get past the language screen after the power went off

UNPLUG SET FOR A WHILE AND PLUG BACK IN (you may have to do it also to the box if one is used) This will allow the set to try to reset itself.

How do you remove the self check on a panasonic viera 37 in lcd tv?

Hello:
This procedure will bring up the self test screen and reset the unit to factory settings for you.
First produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [MENU] button on the remote control for more than 3 seconds.

Change language on my sony dcr-sr300

if the cam is set to a language you don't know better take note of the icons on the screen. here's how you do it:
1.press or touch home button (looks like a house icon)
2.touch settings icon (looks like a toolbox icon, its at the bottom right corner of the lcd screen)
3.go to clock/language setting page (to go there look for the up and down button on the screen, it's on the right side of the lcd. in the middle you'll see reference to the page it will show 1/2 press down to make it 2/2)
4.touch the setting that has an icon of the letter A inside a square (that's in the setting upper right portion of the screen)
5.select and touch language set (it should have the language icon, A inside a square)
6.select desired language setting

How do you change the language on the HP C5250 when you can't read the screen because you don't read Japanese

1) Unplug the power cord

2) Press and hold both the <OK> button and the <?> "Help" button on the printer while you plug the unit back in

3) Continue to hold the buttons until the display goes blank or "Reset" shows on the LCD

4) If the unit turns itself off, turn it back on

5) Let the machine go through its startup procedure

6) Follow the prompts to select the language and country codes

Panel shows different language

Follow the following steps:
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold down the right VALUE button.
  3. While holding down the right VALUE button, press and release the POWER button.
  4. When INITIALIZING appears in the LCD, release the right VALUE button.
  5. The message VALUE AND SELECT KEYS TO CHOOSE LANGUAGE is displayed in the LCD and the currently selected language is displayed as =ENGLISH .
  6. Press the VALUE button until the desired language is displayed.
  7. Press the SELECT button and the desired language is now selected and displayed in the LCD and the printer returns to the READY state.

Change LCD screen back to English

Issue: How do I change the language setting of the LCD?
Solution: Change the display language settings (MP170)
LCD Appears in Japanese (or other foreign language) Upon powering on the machine for the first time, the LCD will prompt to select a display language. If a language other than English is selected, the setting can be changed by following these steps.
  1. Ensure the machine is powered on.
  2. Press the <Menu> button as many times as necessary to display [SYSTEM SETTINGS].
    1. From the Copy mode standby screen, press <Menu> 7 times.
    2. From the Scan mode standby screen, press <Menu> 1 time.
    3. From the Memory card mode standby screen, press <Menu> 6 - 12 times.
  3. Use the right arrow twice to select [OTHERS] and then press the <OK> button.
  4. Use the right arrow three times to select [LANGUAGE SETTING] and then press the <OK> button.
  5. Use the right or left arrow to select the appropriate language and then press <OK>. Choose from the following language settings.
    1. JAPANESE
    2. ENGLISH
    3. GERMAN
    4. FRENCH
    5. ITALIAN
    6. SPANISH
