The steamer goes into the body but does not lock in place and therefore the steamer does not work properly.
Generally,a steam cleanerturns regular tap water -- or perhaps Evian or Fiji in some ridiculous, over-the-top boutique in SoHo, Milan or Paris -- into steam, allowing you to blow it onto wrinkled material. The steam works by loosening the bonds between the long-chain polymer molecules in the fabric which reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

Hey, this is Jeremy with Crucial Vacuum,
To attach the handheld steamer into the base of your Euro-Pro Steam Mop place it into the cradle of the mop housing. Then slide the top end of the handheld Steamer into the mop housing and snap it into place. If this does not work, remove the handheld portion and check to make sure there are no obstructions at either of the points where the pieces attach to each other.
If you need further clarification please refer to page 12 in the link below. It provides a more detailed step-by-step and diagrams to follow.

Thank you but you didn't answer my problem. I have the manuals, etc. and have read through them. The problem is that the handheld steamer will not 'lock' into the mop housing. When you put the handheld in, it depresses the locking bit on the housing but will not 'click tight' as it used to do. I presume there is something in the housing that locks it, and I think I will have to unscrew all the screws to see what's inside. Any suggestions Please? Tony
Tony,
Thank you for your response. I am sorry my answer was not as you hoped for. At this point I would suggest doing as you thought and unscrew your machine to see if there are any obstructions on the inside of the locking mechanism/machine.
If this does not resolve your issue I would recommend contacting the manufacturer directly because there may be a defect with your unit.
Thanks again for reaching out and if there is anything else we can do for you please feel free to contact us at 877.750.9239 or [email protected].
